Champagne punch

Ingredients:
150 ml champagne
3tbsp grenadine
3tbsp cointreau
30 ml brandy
Seasonal fruits like raspberries, strawberries or apples.
Method:
Take a cocktail-shaker and fill it halfway with ice. Pour grenadine, cointreau, brandy and champagne into it. Shake it well and pour it into a glass, sieving out the ice. Garnish the punch with raspberries, apples, or any other seasonal fruit.

Royal Absinthe Fizz

Ingredients:
  • 1 shot absinthe
  • 1 glass champagne
Method:

Pour the shot of absinthe into a champagne flute and top up with more champagne.

Yellow Bird Freeze

Ingredients:
 1 cup ice
 1/2 cup canned pineapple chunks, drained and frozen
 1/2 cup pineapple juice
 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
 30 ml rum
 45 ml coffee liqueur

Method
 Combine all ingredients in a blender
 till the mixture is smooth. Pour in cocktail glass and serve with a slice of pineapple as garnish.

Pineapple Margarita

Ingredients
  • 60 ml tequila
  • 30 ml triple sec
  • 45 ml pineapple juice
Method
       Shake all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice and strain into a cocktail glass rimmed with granulated sugar.

Bronx

This one is a variation of martini.

Ingredients
  • 40 ml gin
  • Splash of vermouth (Martini)
  • 30 ml orange juice
  • Orange slice for garnish
Method
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vermouth, gin and orange juice and stir well. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Serve with an orange slice as garnish.

Mimosa - brunch cocktail

Considered as brunch cocktail and works best with sparkling wine or champagne.

Ingredients
  • 15 ml Triple sec
  • 45 ml orange juice
  • 100 ml champagne or sparkling wine (chilled)
  • Slice of orange for garnish
Method
In a chanpagne flute, add the triple sec orange juice and top with the champagne. Stir once and serve with the orange slice as garnish.

Feni Fizz

This one is famous in Goa, like a jungle juice.

Ingredients
  • 60 ml feni
  • Limca
  • Soda
  • Twist of lime
  • Ice
Method
Fill a tall glass with ice. Add feni, twist of lime and top up with Limca and soda and you're done.

Jungle Juice

Ingredients
  • At least 3 types of alcohol - vodka, white rum and peach schnapps. A bottle of each
  • 1/2 kg seasonal fruits(sliced), no bananas
  • 2 litres mixed fruit juice(Any fruit juice will also do)
  • 1 litre sprite
Method
In a large bowl, pour the alcohol and mix well. Add the cut fruit and refrigerate for five hours.
Add the juices. Sprite and leave overnight in the fridge. Serve from a punch bowl with a ladle.

Red Bubbles

Ingredients
  • 30 ml cointtreau
  • 45 ml red grape juice
  • soda
Method
Half fill a highball glass with ice cubes. Pour all ingredients, stir gently and serve. You can also use tonic water instead of soda for a different flavor.

Sunkiss

This one is another cointreau cocktail yet comparatively new. It's golden yellow color makes an appealing drink.

Ingredients

    • 30 ml cointreau
    • 45 ml pineapple juice
    • 20 ml yellow grapefruit juice
Method
Half fill a highball glass with ice cubes. Pour all ingredients, stir gently and serve. You may use normal grapefruit juice for the cocktail, but the result will be pinkish instead of yellow.

Christmas Wine Cocktail

Ingredients
  • 100 gms brown sugar
  • 1 star anise
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 4 cloves
  • 150 ml water
  • 1 lemon
  • 2 oranges
  • 150 ml cointreau
  • 750 ml bottle light red wine
  • Twist of orange zest and a star anise, to serve

Method

  • Put the sugar in a pan with the star anise, cinnamom stick, cloves and 150 ml water. Bring slowly to a boil. Sti to dissolve sugar. Simmer for two minutes then pour into a large jug and leave it to cool.
  • Add the thinly sliced lemon and oranges tothe jug along with the Cointreau and red wine. Stir well, cover and chill for atleast two hours or overnight.
  • Serve chilled or over ice with a twist of orange zest.

Hot and Sour - for Vodka Lovers

Ingredients
  • 60 ml Vodka
  • 10 ml sugar syrup
  • 1 chopped green chilli
  • A dasj of tobasco sauce
  • A dash of lime juice

Method:

Put all the ingredients along with the crushed ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake well to mix the ingredients. Strain the drink into a sugar rimmed glass with a slit green chilli as garnish. This drink can also be served in a shot glass without the ice.

Spiced Capiroska - for Vodka Lovers

Ingredients:
  • 45 ml citrus flavoured vodka
  • 15 ml pepper vodka
  • Some fresh chopped ginger
  • 1 chopped green chilli
  • 2 tsp castor sugar

Method

Put all the ingredients except the alcohol into a mixing glass. Muddle gently and add some ice. Pour the alcohol into the glass. Stir well. Pour the drink into an old fashioned rock glass and garnish with a lemon slice and slit green chilli.
