Champagne punch

Ingredients:
150 ml champagne
3tbsp grenadine
3tbsp cointreau
30 ml brandy
Seasonal fruits like raspberries, strawberries or apples.
Method:
Take a cocktail-shaker and fill it halfway with ice. Pour grenadine, cointreau, brandy and champagne into it. Shake it well and pour it into a glass, sieving out the ice. Garnish the punch with raspberries, apples, or any other seasonal fruit.

Royal Absinthe Fizz

Ingredients:
  • 1 shot absinthe
  • 1 glass champagne
Method:

Pour the shot of absinthe into a champagne flute and top up with more champagne.

Yellow Bird Freeze

Ingredients:
 1 cup ice
 1/2 cup canned pineapple chunks, drained and frozen
 1/2 cup pineapple juice
 1/2 cup vanilla ice cream
 30 ml rum
 45 ml coffee liqueur

Method
 Combine all ingredients in a blender
 till the mixture is smooth. Pour in cocktail glass and serve with a slice of pineapple as garnish.

Pineapple Margarita

Ingredients
  • 60 ml tequila
  • 30 ml triple sec
  • 45 ml pineapple juice
Method
       Shake all ingredients in a shaker filled with ice and strain into a cocktail glass rimmed with granulated sugar.

Bronx

This one is a variation of martini.

Ingredients
  • 40 ml gin
  • Splash of vermouth (Martini)
  • 30 ml orange juice
  • Orange slice for garnish
Method
  • Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add the vermouth, gin and orange juice and stir well. Strain into a chilled martini glass. Serve with an orange slice as garnish.

Mimosa - brunch cocktail

Considered as brunch cocktail and works best with sparkling wine or champagne.

Ingredients
  • 15 ml Triple sec
  • 45 ml orange juice
  • 100 ml champagne or sparkling wine (chilled)
  • Slice of orange for garnish
Method
In a chanpagne flute, add the triple sec orange juice and top with the champagne. Stir once and serve with the orange slice as garnish.

Fruity Drink

Ingredients
  • 1 cup lo-fat curd
  • 2 bananas
  • 3 peaches
  • 1 cup chilled milk
  • Sugar
Method
Peel of bananas and peaches carefully and cut them into small sizes. Blend well in a mixer till the fruit is smooth and pulpy. Add curd and churn in the blender. Add chilled milk along with sugar and blend again.
Different fruits can be used and milk can be used instead of yoghurt.

Feni Fizz

This one is famous in Goa, like a jungle juice.

Ingredients
  • 60 ml feni
  • Limca
  • Soda
  • Twist of lime
  • Ice
Method
Fill a tall glass with ice. Add feni, twist of lime and top up with Limca and soda and you're done.

Jungle Juice

Ingredients
  • At least 3 types of alcohol - vodka, white rum and peach schnapps. A bottle of each
  • 1/2 kg seasonal fruits(sliced), no bananas
  • 2 litres mixed fruit juice(Any fruit juice will also do)
  • 1 litre sprite
Method
In a large bowl, pour the alcohol and mix well. Add the cut fruit and refrigerate for five hours.
Add the juices. Sprite and leave overnight in the fridge. Serve from a punch bowl with a ladle.

Red Bubbles

Ingredients
  • 30 ml cointtreau
  • 45 ml red grape juice
  • soda
Method
Half fill a highball glass with ice cubes. Pour all ingredients, stir gently and serve. You can also use tonic water instead of soda for a different flavor.

Sunkiss

This one is another cointreau cocktail yet comparatively new. It's golden yellow color makes an appealing drink.

Ingredients

    • 30 ml cointreau
    • 45 ml pineapple juice
    • 20 ml yellow grapefruit juice
Method
Half fill a highball glass with ice cubes. Pour all ingredients, stir gently and serve. You may use normal grapefruit juice for the cocktail, but the result will be pinkish instead of yellow.

Spritzy Buzz

Mix equal parts of ready made ginger-lemon syrup with sandalwood syrup, then add to your regular gin and tonic with lots of ice. Works without the alcohol too but with the juniper berry booze it's amazing!

Strawberry-Banana Smoothie

Ingredients
6 large strawberries
1 banana
1/4 glass crushed ice water

(sugar can be added if you prefer it sweeter cos I do)

Method
Blend all the above ingredients. Chill and serve.

Lemon Juice

Ingredients:
  • 1 big lemon
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 1 teaspoon sugar or less

Method:

  • Squeeze lemon into a cold glass of water, put honey and sugar(as required).
  • Stir nicely and ice cubes can be added while serving.
  • A pinch of salt is also optional if you find your lemon juice to be very sour.

Mango-Milk Shake became Ice cream

Ingredients:

  • 3-4 ripe mangoes (pulp)
  • 2 cups of milk
  • 1 cup of sugar
Method:
  • Put mango pulp, milk and sugar in a blender till mango pulp dissolve. Taste as per sweetness requirement, may add sugar if require and keep it on blender again.
  • Just tried this yesterday, it came as a mango milk shake but I thought of keeping it in the freezer and after 4 hours and it came like ice cream.

Grape and Kiwi Smoothie

Feel guilt-free and satisfied with this tasty low-carb treat.

  • 2 (15-ounce) servings
    Ingredients:
    3/4 cup sugar-free lemonade
    1/2 cup whole milk
    3 kiwis, peeled and diced
    1 1/2 cups frozen green seedless grapes
    Directions:
    Combine lemonade, milk, and kiwis in a blender. Blend on high speed until fruit is puréed and mixture is smooth.
    Add grapes and blend on high speed again until smooth. Serve immediately.
    Tips: Substitute any sugar-free fruit drink for lemonade in this recipe.

Watermelon Lemonade

Ingredients:
Yield: about 1 1/2 quarts
8 cups seeded watermelon cut into 1-inch chunks
1 cup hulled and quartered fresh strawberries
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lemon juice (about 3 lemons)
2 cups water (approximately)
Thin watermelon wedges with the rind (optional)


Method:
In a
food processor fitted with a steel blade, pulse the watermelon, strawberries, and sugar until blended and smooth.
Strain through a fine-mesh strainer into a 2-quart container, pushing down on the solids to get all the juice. Add the lemon juice and enough of the water to make 1 1/2 quarts.
Chill until very cold. Serve over ice with a wedge of watermelon, if desired.

Tropical Smoothie

Ingredients
1 cup froen mango chunks
1 ripe banana, cut in thirds
1 cup fresh or frozen pineapple chunks
1 cup non-fat vanilla yoghurt
1 cup orange or pineapple juice

Method:
In a blender, combine mango, banana, pineapple, yoghurt and juice, and process until thoroughly blended and smooth.

Banana Shake

Ingredients:
2 cup milk
1 firm ripe banana
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp ground nutmeg
Method:
Place the milk in a heavy bottomed pan over a high heat.
Bring it to boil, stirring constantly then reduce the heat and simmer for 2 mins.
While the milk is simmering, place a banana, sugar and nutmeg in a blender and process until pureed.
Pour 1 cup milk into the blender and process for another minute
Add the remaining milk and process for 1/2 minute
Pour the milk in warmed mugs or cups and serve.

Cold Coffee

Ingredients:
4 cup cold milk
1 cup boiling water
6 tsp instant coffee powder
4 tbsp cream
3 tbsp sugar
crushed ice
Method:
Dissolve instant coffee powder and sugar in boiling water and allow to cool
Blend the coffee mixture and milk in a blender for a few seconds
Add cream and crushed ice
Blend for another few seconds till it becomes frothy
Serve chilled.
