Ingredients:
1 kg boneless chicken, cubed
2 big onions, chopped
4 crushed garlic cloves
4 tomatoes chopped
2 tbsp bahrat*
1 tsp ground ginger
½ tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp chili powder
1piece cinnamon stick
½ cup raisins
½ cup almonds
Water or chicken stock
Lemon juice
Salt to taste
2-3 tsp oil
Method:
Fry the onions and garlic till transparent. Add the almonds, bahrat*, ginger, turmeric an chili powder. Stir fry for two minutes. Put in the chicken pieces and fry until brown. Add the raisins, tomatoes, lemon juice and water or stock. Boil for a while. Mix in salt and cinnamon. Cover and simmer for an hour.
